💡Example scenario

A 15 × 12 ft bedroom (180 ft²) with 8 ft ceilings in a moderate climate with average insulation: baseBTU = 180 × 1.0 × 20 = 3,600 BTU/hr. Adjusted = 3,600 × 1.0 = 3,600 BTU/hr ≈ 0.3 tons. A standard 5,000 BTU window unit would be appropriate.
