Conversion Rate (CVR) is the percentage of visitors who complete a desired action — a purchase, sign-up, form submission, or any defined goal. Revenue per visitor (RPV) combines CVR and AOV into a single metric that captures both traffic quality and monetization efficiency.

Revenue per visitor is a more powerful metric than CVR alone — raising AOV from $100 to $120 has the same effect as raising CVR from 5% to 6%.
