There is an important distinction between dry and liquid measuring cups: liquid cups measure volume (what this calculator does), while dry cups are meant to be leveled off for ingredients like flour. For baking precision, especially with flour, consider using weight (grams) rather than volume — 1 cup of all-purpose flour can range from 120 g to 150 g depending on how it is scooped.
