📖What is it?

A Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) normalises your workforce to a common unit based on a standard work week. One FTE equals one person working full-time for a full year. Part-time workers are fractional FTEs: a person working 20 hours in a 40-hour week is 0.5 FTE. FTE is used in payroll budgeting, government reporting, grant applications, healthcare staffing ratios, and the ACA employer mandate thresholds.
