Perfume Blending Ratio Calculator
Calculate fragrance oil volumes for each note tier (top, middle, base) and alcohol requirement based on concentration and desired bottle size.

What is it?
Perfume blending follows a three-tier structure: top notes (first impression, volatile citrus, herbs), middle/heart notes (main character florals, spices), and base notes (lasting foundation woods, musks, resins). The concentration determines the total fragrance load in alcohol or carrier.
How to use
Set your total volume and desired concentration (e.g., Eau de Parfum = 15-20% fragrance in alcohol). Adjust the percentage split between top, middle, and base notes. The calculator outputs precise mL for each tier and the alcohol volume needed.
Example scenario
For a 50 mL Eau de Parfum at 18% concentration with 30/50/20 split: 9 mL total fragrance oils = 2.7 mL top notes (bergamot, lemon) + 4.5 mL middles (rose, jasmine) + 1.8 mL base (sandalwood, musk). Add 41 mL of 96% perfumers alcohol.
Pro tip
Let your blend macerate (rest) for at least 4 weeks before evaluating the final scent. Top notes fade first do not judge a perfume immediately after mixing. Use 96% ethanol perfumers alcohol, not isopropyl (IPA), which smells harsh and can alter fragrance profiles.
