Scope MOA / MRAD Adjustment Calculator
Convert a point-of-impact error at a known range into MOA and MRAD corrections, then calculate how many scope clicks to dial.

What is it?
MOA (Minute of Angle) equals approximately 1.047 inches at 100 yards or roughly 1 inch per 100 yards as a rule of thumb. MRAD (milliradian) equals 3.6 inches at 100 yards or 10 cm at 100 m. Scope turrets click in fractions of these units. This calculator converts a measured point-of-impact error into the exact number of clicks needed for a correction.
How to use
Fire a group at your target range, measure how far the group center is from your aiming point (in inches), enter the error and range, and select your scope's click value. The calculator shows MOA and MRAD corrections plus the exact click count.
Example scenario
Your 3-shot group at 200 yards is 4 inches low and 2 inches right. Elevation: 4 inches at 200 yards = 1.91 MOA = 7.64 clicks (1/4 MOA scope) dial 8 clicks UP. Windage: 2 inches at 200 yards = 0.96 MOA = 3.8 clicks dial 4 clicks RIGHT.
Pro tip
Always track your corrections in a data book (DOPE card) so you can repeat known holds at distance. MRAD scopes pair naturally with metric measurements: 1 mrad = 10 cm at 100 m, making mental math intuitive. For competition shooting, 1/8 MOA clicks provide finer resolution at long range.
